In 1998, the
English Sports Association became a member of the newly formed
English Federation of Disability Sport. The EFDS are an umbrella
body representing each of the 7 national disability sport organisations,
and provides a regional structure through which ESA can provide
local and regional opportunities in sport.
Many of the
EFDS regions are supported by volunteers who work closely with
the English Sports Association, and in time, we hope to build
these links to ensure opportunities for people with disabilities
are maximised at all levels of sport.
If you wish
to find out what ís going on in your area, you can visit
the EFDS website by clicking the image below. The site also contains
information about projects and initiatives which you may be interested
in.
If you are
interested in getting involved in your local area, either as
a volunteer, a participant or as a coach, please contact either
the English Sports Association national office, or your local
EFDS regional officer.
